ITV Plc is a FTSE100 company with over 5,500 staff in more than 50 operational sites across the UK. They are also the biggest commercial television network in the UK, broadcasting the most talked about television and making a major contribution to the UK’s culture, economy and communities.
In their Corporate Responsibility report 2006 ITV pledged to minimise their environmental impact through a number of avenues, and as a result ITV approached Allen and York to assist in the recruitment of an Energy Manager to play a pivotal role in reducing energy usage and carbon footprint across all their sites.

The Service
Following in-depth discussions regarding the various services that Allen and York were able to provide, including Senior Search, Managed Advertising and Database Search, it was agreed that the most appropriate service was an in-depth Database Search by our dedicated Energy team.
Allen and York’s extensive recruitment database of energy candidates was thoroughly searched to identify energy management candidates with a thorough understanding of large and complex building usage patterns, experience in implementing cost-effective measures and most importantly the ability to engage with staff to deliver long-term energy savings.
The Result
Allen and York delivered CVs to ITV, and assisted in the communication and negotiation of interviews and an offer to the successful candidate. Ensuring the selected candidate was successfully recruited in to the position.
