Allen & York appreciate the need for a discrete service for our candidates on a professional level, as well as the importance of keeping the personal information of our candidates private. We will never use your information for any purpose other than in connection with the recruitment process or other named permissions you agree to give us.

What type of Data to We Collect?

The personal data that we collect from candidates is necessary to ensure the efficiency of the recruitment process. This data includes information such as your name, address, e-mail address, and career and education history, as well as your nationality and status to work in the UK, which we are required to collect by law. Any other sensitive data is collected only so far as is necessary to ensure we meet legal requirements. By registering with us, you consent to us collecting and processing the data and, where necessary, disclosing this information to prospective employers in connection with the recruitment process. Candidates can be assured that Allen & York will not sell, trade or rent their personal information to third parties.

Your CV

Once you provide your CV to Allen & York it will be made available to our specialist recruitment teams. Unless you request otherwise at the point of registration, your CV and other relevant information supplied by you may be sent or presented to prospective employers who we deem would be of interest to you, and who we deem may be interested in your skills and experience.

Data Security & Hoax Emails

Like all businesses we are vulnerable to scam and hoax emails using our name fraudulently.  Unfortunately it is impossible for us to prevent fraudsters using our good name for their own ends but we work hard to prevent this happening.  These emails will usually ask for money and/or personal details to be forwarded. 

We would like to ensure all our candidates that we:
1. Never ask candidates for any payment.
2. Only request documentation (e.g. copy of passport and relevant qualifications) to be sent to an Allen & York email address, i.e. one ending @allen-york.com and only at the point at which we are arranging interviews for you.
