Senior Practice Leader

The incumbent has proven consulting practice leadership. He/she is capable of driving the development of a new practice in the field of sustainable operations. With client understanding and satisfaction as a priority, the incumbent is also able to structure and develop the offering to fit the client?s needs. Therefore, client acquisition and development comes as second nature. The Senior Practice Leader remains responsible for the life cycle of the client and continuously looks for new opportunities for improvement towards excellent sustainable operations

Externally and internally, the role has to provide thought leadership in sustainability matters, exemplified by energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction expertise. The Senior Practice Leader looks continuously for new opportunities for improvement and takes a proactive approach in driving the next challenge. He/she needs to complement effectively the internal competencies. In so doing, the incumbent is also an active participant of the practice, both in terms of strategy development and deployment as well as content codification. Therefore, the professional that My Client is seeking is an industrial expert that has hands-on experience from working in one of the industries that are targeted by the business: utilities, oil & gas, mining.


Principle Activities:

? Engage new client by thoroughly understanding client?s needs and addressing them via consulting methodologies. Drives for contract closure
? Consult to clients ranging in size from small to large multi-national corporations, in strategic targeted industries (e.g., Utilities, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, etc.)
? Build and maintains long-term client relationships at senior management, professional, and executive level and acts as key focal point for specific stages of a larger program
? Establish and maintain a network of contacts in industries. Appropriate memberships and activity with industry associations.
? Definition of project objectives, scope and execution plans, including performance targets, project management plans, pricing, cost estimates, and other issues both during and after the business development process.
? Manage the detailed planning, organization, staffing and tactical performance of project delivery to ensure that high quality, high value, timely and cost effective services are delivered to clients, and ensures that My Client achieves its financial and risk management objectives.
? Execute and audits against contract, manages client controversy or changes in plans, monitors and provides feedback to My Client management
? Manage the deployment of Delivery Resources (including Independent Contractors) and monitors quality, leading and directing teams, typically from 2 to 30 people.
? Ensure financial and administrative controls are appropriately executed as projects are delivered
? Pursue opportunities and achieve annual objectives for additional product offerings and revenue generation
? Act as a thought leader for the practice and is accountable for ensuring Intellectual Capital generated during an engagement is retained, codified, and leveraged across the organization


Education/Experience:

? Engineering and/or MBA degree preferred
? Minimum 7 years manufacturing operations and/or consulting experience in the field of sustainability and energy
? Account management or leadership experience (ex. plant manager, consulting manager)
? Consulting practice leadership
? Experience managing financial performance and project quality
? Prefer specialized knowledge in industries such as utilities or oil & gas, manufacturing etc.

? Strong Interpersonal skills ? develop and maintain constructive relationships with team members and clients
? Financial and business acumen
? Fluent in English and at least 2 other major languages
? Be willing to travel extensively

Technical/Functional Competencies:

? Understanding and application of consulting methods
? Experience in safety sustainability as it pertains to industrial concerns
? Project Management in a complex consulting environment
