Our client is a leading Regeneration consultancy with offices throughout the UK. They are looking for dedicated professionals to conduct the following duties:
To provide high quality consultancy services to clients throughout the UK.
Role and Responsibilities
1. To complete high quality work allocated in line with the task, method and timescale agreed by the client;
2. To input to the preparation of written proposals for tenders and for non-competitive work for the organisation;
3. To attend presentations to potential clients;
4. To carry out desk research using a wide variety of official data sources and the internet
5. To carry out study fieldwork including company interviews (face-to-face and telephone), workshops and focus groups, and client consultations;
6. To manipulate, analyse and present study data
7. To maintain management information systems in line with company practice and policy;
8. To carry out administrative tasks as allocated;
9. To assist in the marketing of companyincluding preparing literature for current and potential clients and inputting to the company’s website;
10. To keep up to date on policy and developments in England; and
11. To carry out any other appropriate tasks as directed by the line manager.
Person Specification
The following would be essential skills and qualities:
1. At least two years experience in one or more of the fields listed above.
2. At least two years experience in consultancy or a related field, e.g. economic or social research.
3. Good verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate in one-to-one situations, group sessions and in public arenas.
4. Excellent written skills including reports.
5. Good organisational skills including proven project and personal time management.
6. Good IT skills including the use of word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail and the worldwide web.
7. The ability to work on one’s own initiative.
8. The ability to work in a small team.
The following would be desirable skills and qualities:
1. A working knowledge of the priority issues in England and appropriate regions;
2. A working knowledge of public sector and voluntary sector structures in England;
3. Having a full, clean driving licence.
