Our client, one of the UK’s largest independent property consultancies is looking to recruit an Economic Development Consultant to help build the Regeneration Consultancy Business in Manchester. With a rapidly growing client base, their Development team in Manchester continues to expand

This role will involve working for both public and private sector clients in interpreting how economic enterprise, social needs and opportunities influence strategic development activity. You will need a knowledge of the barriers to economic prosperity and an understanding of the factors causing deprivation as well as an understanding of the property development process within the context of regeneration, across commercial and residential markets.

The successful candidate will hold a degree in Economics, Planning or Business Studies. You should have experience working with public and private sector clients in the economic development sector. Experience undertaking economic appraisals, market analyses and feasibility studies is also essential; an MRICS/MRTPI qualification would be advantageous but not essential.

Excellent report writing skills are essential to this role, as well as good communication skills and the ability to work well within in a team and use your own initiative.
