A global electronics company has approached Allen & York exclusively for this outstanding opportunity to manage waste and recycling issues affecting their products at a European wide level.

The key objectives of the role to ensure total legal compliance in all European areas of waste legislation where the client operates, eg- WEEE, trans-shipment and packaging. On a European level, the candidate must be able to develop and communicate both internally and externally company policies on waste and recycling, and ensure the client is represented in stakeholder initiatives and industry groups on waste and recycling issues.

Areas of responsibility include complete legal compliance, policy development, business and commercial development as well as communications. Other areas of the role include leading teams, managing specific accounts and liaising with external vendors.

Candidates must have some essential skills to be able to fulfill the requirements of the role. You must have a very detailed knowledge and understanding of European waste and recycling legislation affecting products in the associated industry. Experience of ensuring compliance with all related legislation in a multi-national company or on a consultancy basis is essential with the ability to speak two European languages. Please note that European travel is part of the role.
