Principal Waste Consultant & Environmental Engineer

My client is a large multi disciplinary consultancy, currently looking for a Principal Waste Consultant and an Environmental Engineer, to lead the development of the organisation's Natural and Built Environment business within the Waste Management sector. Duties within this position include leading a variety of waste management projects, which may include providing technical advice, preparing enquiries for waste treatment / handling processes, and managing energy from waste transfer stations.

Applicants for the Principal Waste Consultant role should have a strong technical background within the waste industry, and excellent technical knowledge of UK regulation within the Waste sector. Ideal candidates will be experienced in Disposal Authority waste projects and development of waste related strategies for Disposal Authorities.

Candidates for the Environmental Engineer position should have experience in design of waste treatment and disposal facilities in addition to an understanding of permitting and licensing of waste handling and treatment plants.

Experience within a wide range of projects and operations with significant knowledge of waste management projects would be advantageous. Ideally candidates will have a prior background in business development.
