Our client is a leading Regeneration consultancy with offices throughout the UK. They are currently seeking an individual who is ideally currently a senior economic development consultant to become an Associate Director based in their Glasgow office.
Reporting to the Director in charge of the office, the role will involve working for both public and private sector clients offering a range of services from strategy and programme development to appraisal and evaluation across the broad spectrum of economic development and regeneration activities.
You should be able to demonstrate expert skills and considerable experience of working in at least two of the following fields:
• Area regeneration
• Project and programme appraisal, development and evaluation;
• European structural funds; and/or
• Policy and strategy development.

Experience of the consultancy process overall
• Current hands-on involvement in the project delivery process
• High quality report writing skills;
• Ability to successfully prepare and submit competitive tenders;
• Ability to make presentations to large groups;
• An aptitude for exact and analytical work;
• The ability to work on your own or as part of a team;
• Initiative and motivation in dealing with complex challenges; and
• A desire to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations.
Business development and people management experience
The successful candidate will also have a business development track record, experience in project delivery and project financial management, resource planning and line management of around 2-3 staff. An excellent track record in fee generation and business development activities is essential.
