Our client started its Italian operations in Turin last year and given their successfull expansion, they are now seeking a Senior Consultant for Biomass projects in Rome.The position
Based in our new Rome Office the role will demand travel to all parts of Italy. As a senior Biomass expert you will assist customers in developing their biomass energy projects. Furthermore you?ll identify new biomass to energy opportunities in the marketplace that could be developed in collaboration with our international colleagues. Supporting colleagues with wind energy development projects will be a regular part of the function. Occasionally supporting colleagues on policy and strategy work relating to biomass may be part of the job as well. The role offers an exciting opportunity in business and project development.Key aspects of the role are as follows:
- Assist with all aspects of the Company?s biomass/(wind) development activities in Italy
- Assist with the growth of the Company?s biomass/(wind) energy business in Italy - - - Participate in development activities by means of:
Site prospecting, assessment, selection & acquisition,
Supervising Environmental Impact Assessments,
Liaison with consultees and local communities,
Supervising acquisition of planning permission and consents,
Managing public relations around projects,
Securing land option agreements: land owner meetings and land lease negotiations with landowners and their solicitors,
Providing input into the project design process including technology selection and site configurations
Managing the liaison with our International offices for specialist support on issues such as grid integration and project visualisation
Preparing input for the financial assessment of projects,
Managing acquisition of power purchase agreements and securing incentive titles like green certificates.
Participate in the arrangement of financing for the projects, in particular the due diligence process.
Facilitate effective communication with the International organisation department to ensure a fast and smooth development of new ideas into profitable products and services.Your profile
You are Italian but have an excellent command of the English language. You have a degree in a business, science, engineering or equivalent subject. Evidence of excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential. The role demands entrepreneurial skill in identifying and seizing opportunities in a competitive market place. You have years of relevant experience in biomass energy related work, preferably more leaning to bio fuels, trading and project development than to for example forestry. Experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous:
project development experience in the biomass project planning process
a full driving license will be essential.
