Our client is one of the largest advising property occupiers, owners, developers, investors, lenders and landowners in the UK and now they're looking for a Building Consultant to be based in their Cardiff office.
Your responsibilities will include:
Management
> Day to day management and motivation of the team
> Recruitment, appraisals, mentoring
> Overall decision making and allocation of work load/projects
Finance
> Profit & Loss responsibility
> Budget setting and fee forecasting
> Billing and debt collection
Business Development
> Develop and implement a regional business development and marketing plan
> Identify and set targets, fee proposals and generate new business
Type of Work
> Professional matters (including building surveys, dilapidation’s, party wall matters, planned maintenance schedules, reinstatement-cost assessments and general building surveying / consultancy advice)
> Contract administration (including project management, control of quality and costs,
appointment and co-ordination of project teams, schedule of works)
> Consultancy advice to clients
To be eligible for this job you must have:
> Experience of working in a similar role
> Knowledge and familiarity of the South Wales market
> The successful applicant will be flexible, articulate with drive and ambition
> Professional qualifications
> Strong communication skills are essential
