Senior Building Surveyor
Location: Dorset

The successful applicant appointed as Senior Building Surveyor will be based at the Wimborne Office of our client, a multi-disciplined company of Land and Property Consultants, within its Building Consultancy Department.

The post will involve work in the Residential, Commercial and Industrial Building sectors under the following headings:
> Strategic Building Maintenance Advice - including Pre-Planned Maintenance Regimes
> Design and Contract Administration of refurbishment and conversion projects
> Design and Contract Administration of new build projects
> Project Management/Development Monitoring roles for Banks, Lenders and Funders
> Employers Agent duties
> Preparation of Dilapidation Reports and accompanying Advice/Negotiations
> Building Surveys upon all building types
> Preparation of Fire Insurance Rebuilding Cost Assessments
> Defect Analysis Advice
> Party Wall Advice
> CDM Co-ordinators duties

> The sucessful candidate will have already achieved Chartered status, thereby possessing the designatory letters MRICS or FRICS in the Building Surveying discipline.
> In addition, a minimum of 6 years post qualification experience will be expected. The post will require the successful candidate to secure and manage their own workload, having direct client liaison to achieve and develop their own client base.
> Experience in the commercial sector will be a pre-requisite with knowledge gained in having acted in the capacity of Employers Agent in the Health Care and/or Affordable Homes sectors being a distinct advantage.
