Operations Manager

Our Client is one of the largest waste management groups in the UK dealing with household, commercial and industrial waste. They are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a desire to make a positive impact on the environment. Overall Responsibility:
To manage all aspects of the sites operations including the newly introduced rail borne waste operation.Key Responsibilities:
To ensure the material waste stream inputs are dealt with in a safe, compliant and professional manner corresponding to the companys operational procedures, Environment Agency Permitted conditions and current legislation.
To develop customer relationships and achieve a consistently high level of service.
Assistance and Management of permit issues and other regulatory issues.
Liaison with external bodies and local communities.
Control of plant and equipment and other site resources in line with current procedures.
Management and control of Environmental Compliance.
Management of Waste acceptance and disposal in line with Permit and current legislation.
A COTC qualification would be an advantage or be willing to work towards this qualification.This is an excellent opportunity within a waste management company to develop your career and broaden your knowledge of waste management.
