The role would largely be concerned with supporting minerals and particularly waste projects in the south of England, working with other staff from the Oxford, Maidenhead and Chelmsford offices. Opportunities may also arise to work on projects elsewhere in the UK and possible overseas. The role may also provide opportunities for working on non-minerals waste projects.
Working as part of our client's planning team, providing planning advice and support to existing and new clients, your role may involve working on the planning aspects of larger projects where they provide a range of design and technical services, or developing planning led projects. This will include working as part of a multi-disciplinary team preparing and submitting planning applications and EIA’s and project managing smaller dedicated planning projects. The role may also involve appeals, development planning and project development and implementation.
Clients include the minerals and waste industry, developers and local authorities.
You would be involved in supporting and undertaking the preparation of proposal for new projects and clients and/or developing and marketing of planning services for existing and new clients.
You must be RTPI recognised with a planning degree, plus 5 years experience in planning consultancy or local authority planning, preferably in minerals and waste experience, although this is not essential.
Experience in project management and the preparation of planning applications and Environmental Statements, and/or local authority development control would be advantageous.
