Our public sector client is seeking talented urban and landscape design professionals who can make a major contribution to delivering on the Council’s strong commitment to securing sustainable development and design quality.

They have recently established new multi-disciplinary teams to take a proactive approach to setting policy to guide new development and also to secure design quality in planning applications.

The Urban Design post will primarily focus on the input to Council’s design framework, including concept statements and masterplans as well as securing design quality in planning applications for major development sites.

As confident and successful negotiators you will work with developers and communities to secure development proposals that will enhance quality of life, sustainability and design quality.

Our client's are also looking for someone to give urban design advice on planning applications. This would be on a short-term basis, with the possibility of extension or a permanent post becoming available.

You must have a relevant degree/diploma, and membership/eligibility for membership of a relevant professional institute.
