A Principal Consultant in Sustainable Buildings is required by one of the world's most integrated climate change solutions businesses.

Degree qualified the successful candidate will undertake sustainable built environment projects, including building physics design support and energy advice , and sustainable energy strategy development as part of master-planning for major development and regeneration projects, sustainability appraisals, community energy and CHP feasibility, design and implementation.

Working closely with the UK management team, you will provide high level technical advice and support to an existing team of buildings consultants. You will have a substantial proportion of business development work to balance with the consultancy projects you’ll be involved in and will be given the opportunity to be actively involved in internal organisational management. You will need excellent well honed project management and business development skills as they will be fully utilised within this role

Your proven abilities of business development and your technical understanding will be highly valued for this position.

You will be degree qualified in engineering, environmental science or equivalent and in relevant area
Masters or other post-graduate qualification. Have a sound understanding of energy from a physics perspective and a knowledge of at least two of:

• building physics and building services
• building integrated renewables and CHP
• non-energy sustainability issues
• BREEAM / Ecohomes / CSH
• local energy planning and relevant national policy and regulation
• non-energy sustainable building issues
