Graduate Transport Planner
Location: London; South East, United Kingdom

With an ever increasing portfolio of work in both the public and private sectors, our client's seek to appoint experienced Transport Planners/Modellers to join their Transport Planning Teams in Surrey and London.
You will have accountabilities for:-
> Transport Model development
> Supervision of less experienced staff on specific tasks
> Carrying out agreed tasks to time and budget
> You will have the potential to advance to Senior Engineer level and beyond.
> You will have post-graduate experience within a Transport Planning consultancy or Local Highway Authority (dealing with transport planning matters) with experience of undertaking public sector commissions.> You will have had experience of area-wide modelling using programs such as SATURN, Cube Vogager and micro-simulation packages. You will have an interest in developing your technical skills further in this area.You should also have the following skills and knowledge:
> Experience of traffic survey planning and resulting data analysis,
> Sound working knowledge of DMRB and WebTAG,
> Experience of traffic forecasting using TEMPRO,
> Strong numerical and analytical skills and competent in the use of Microsoft Excel.
> Team player and excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, If you have some of the following experience that would also be beneficial:
> Experience in COBA, QUADRO or TUBA economic assessment programs
> An MSc in Transport Planning or similar
> Knowledge of GIS tools such as MapInfo It would also be useful if you have a full driving licence. If you are interested in this job, contact us today.
