You will be a member of our client's busy Landscape Architecture and Urban Design Team based in Merseyside, and have the opportunity to work on a diverse and exciting range of projects across the urban regeneration remit.
Current projects include regeneration of urban parks, new sports facilities, a significant urban design role on major city centre and transportation corridor projects and a key input to major school projects through the building schools for the future programme.
> Acting as a team member on larger, more complex projects you will typically assist in the design, procurement, contract administration and site supervision stages.
> You will manage your own workload to ensure the effective delivery of work programmes in consultation with clients. Design project management, procurement, contract administration and supervision of construction of a variety of projects will be key elements of the role.
You will also be required to:
> Make use of relevant standards, specifications and contracts in the procurement of projects.
> Ensure effective communication takens place with Clients, and other relevant bodies on the delivery of projects
> Ensure that appropriate Health & Safety functions are in place and that statutory duties imposed by Construction Design and Management Regulations are complied with.
> Ensure that duties are carried out in accordance with relevant policies, legislation, office procedures and Quality Assurance procedures.
> Prepare progress reports as required by clients and team leaders and collate data for performance indicators.
> Responsible for the Health and Safety of self, other staff of the team and ensureing that good health and safety practice is followed by all contractors used by the Practice.
> Demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development. Undertake other appropriate duties commensurate with the role as required by the Team Leader/Divisional Manager.
You will have:
> BA/BSc/ Diploma in Landscape Architecture and be working towards chartered status with a minimum of 1 years post qualification experience, or you will already be chartered.
> A clear understanding of the discipline gained through training, qualification and experience.
> Relevant experience in Landscape Architecture in terms of design, procurement and contract management.
> Use of current design and drawing packages including CAD
> Experience and understanding of Health and Safety, Quality Assurance standards and CDM regulations
> Ability to identify and resolve technical issues.
> Effective in multi-discipline working and maintaining positive client relationships
> Effective communication skills
> Team working skills
> Professional and positive attitude
