Our client is one of the major suppliers of aggregates in the South West region with over 100 years of experience in the construction market.

They are looking for an individual with comprehensive management control skills and the ability to communicate at all levels. The role will be responsible for assisting with the safe and efficient management of a strategic Sand & Gravel operation and activities within the unit, as well as having full section 8 responsibilities.

Training will be provided, as part of the Companies commitment to Continuous professional development, but the successful applicant must have strong organisational and management skills, technical knowledge of fixed and mobile plants, an understanding of statutory responsibilities and be familiar with all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.

Applicants will be able to demonstrate their knowledge by DAPS or similar, or gained through relevant experience. Ideally, applicants will have completed or be working towards qualifications in SHE NVQ Level 3 or above.

To deal with the demands of this position, applicants will need comprehensive management and operational budgetary control. This position offers excellent and challenging opportunities for an individual who is self-motivated and has ambition to further their career.

Final salary will depend on skills and experience; additional benefits include 25 days annual leave, company car or car allowance, a contributory pension scheme and a healthcare maintenance programme.
