Our clients are looking for Rail Quantity Surveyors for their offices based in London.

You should be able to demonstrate the ability to manage projects with the minimum of supervision.
You should ensure your own skill base is developed and meets changing needs.
You should proactively keep up to date with current and changing legislation.
You will be expected to have attained a recognised degree in the building construction and/or civil engineering profession, be chartered or working to become a member of the RICS or CIOB, or have relevant experience with demonstrable acquired knowledge or skills in the following areas:
You should have:
> IT and the ability to use a variety of computer software
> Good written and oral communications skills
> Good presentation and interpersonal skills
> Client Management skills
Duties will generally comprise but not be limited to:
> Measuring and describing building and civil engineering construction work including the preparation of tender documentation
> Preparing and using detailed budgets and cost plans
> Preparing and interpreting turnover / cash flow projections and profit / loss forecasts
> Undertaking the valuing of variations and potential variations
> Preparing interim applications for payment
> The preparation and agreement of final accounts
> Management and control of projects
> Deal with contractual issues including extensions of time, loss and or expense claims, terms and conditions etc with assistance where appropriate
