Our public sector client's are looking for a Planning Manager for their offices in the beautiful South East of England.
Sucessful candidates will have a relevant degree qualification or demonstrable experience in the field of planning.
Successful candidates will have some experience working in this field. You should be able to convey:
> Substantial and in-depth experience of giving evidence at Courts and/or Inquiries;
> Substantial experience of making presentations to and giving advice to members of Committees on Planning Enforcement issues;
> Proven and demonstrable experience of effectively managing and supervising staff with varying skill levels.
Some job related knowledge, skills and abilities criteria includes:
> Proven in-depth knowledge and expertise in the field of Development Control and Enforcement;
> Ability to lead and motivate a team;
> Proven ability in negotiating with customers to achieve the best environmental outcome;
> Excellent communication skills and influencing skills with and an ability to explain Planning Legislation to a range of customers;
> Proven ability to deal effectively and courteously with sometimes potentially difficult and abusive customers;
> Extensive knowledge and understanding of neighbourhood management and local delivery of services;
> A thorough understanding and experience of using IT and word processing systems especially for the monitoring and recording of data and the preparation of statistics and reports relating to Enforcement matters.
