This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to become Major Projects Officer for our public sector client's offices in the South East of England.

You should be educated accordingly with:
> Relevant degree or equivalent.
> Royal Town Planning Institute Membership or eligibility for membership.
> Up to date knowledge of planning legislation and guidance including in-depth knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment and S106 procedures.

Previous experience is essential with:
> Substantial relevant post-qualification planning experience
> A senior level of responsibility in planning policy formulation or development control.
> Expert witness-preparation and presentation of statements of case, evidence.
> Working in a political environment.

The skills and abilities you must possess includes:
> Project management skills – ability to manage complex programmes of projects within resource, cost and timetable constraints.
> Ability to coordinate staff from a number of teams to project manage and deliver on time.
> Presentational skills – ability to present information effectively both orally and visually.
> Personal skills – good interpersonal relationships, good customer care skills, tact and diplomacy.
> Problem solving – ability to think laterally and innovatively with the ability to work under pressure.
