Senior Architect

An outstanding opportunity has arisen in a Design Solutions team in Manchester for a Senior Architect, specialising in education projects. In this role you will act as a lead design consultant to multidisciplinary consulting design teams on Education projects with responsibility for leading teams across a variety of projectsFor this role you must be educated accordindly, including:
> Degree level and post-graduate qualifications in Architecture
> RIBA Part III ARB registered
> CAD capability, preferably AutoCAD
> Demonstrable ability to produce buildings of architectural merit from inception through to completion
> Experience of dealing with clients’ enquiries, attending meetings and giving presentations Responsibilities for the sucessful candidate includes:
> Managing architectural commissions from inception through to completion
> Taking an active interest in commercial management of projects, particularly dealing with project fees and resourcing
> Producing architectural designs and/or working with other designers in the office to develop designs produced by others
> Managing client interface and coordinating project stakeholder involvement
> Managing project support teams including input from architectural technologists
> Managing sub-consultants and acting as lead consultant for integrated Atkins multi-disciplinary design teams
> Assisting in the preparation of bids and supporting marketing activity
> Building client relationships and helping to identify business opportunities You should be commercially aware and have a flexible attitude to both the type of work undertaken and the level of responsibility accepted.If you are interested in this role, contact us today.
