Our clients' require Architects to provide technical skills to ensure project requirements and client specifications are fully met. The successful candidate will also provide information in an appropriate format complying with the Company’s quality procedures including written reports. These positions will be based in Durham and Colwyn Bay.Requirements
Objective Qualities
· Degree qualified with substantial post-qualification experience
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Publisher and Powerpoint, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Photoshop
· Membership of RIBA/ARB
· Experience in all of the following areas: Housing, Leisure, Medical, Education, Retail, Industrial BuildingsSubjective Qualities
· Self motivated, confident and enthusiastic and comfortable working with all members of the construction design team.
· A good communicator with both clients and end users.
· Capable of working without direct supervision.
Responsibilities
· To support the Associate Manager in the provision of architectural services
· To liaise and agree project briefs with clients.
· To carry out feasibility studies.
· Prepare specifications and drawings for building work.
· To provide design advice and solutions in respect of building work.
· Inspect progress of works on site as required by the client agreement and/or project contract.
· Administer construction contracts, processing contract documents and invoices in accordance with client and office procedures.
· To provide technical advice and diagnosis in respect of building work.
· Control, monitoring and reporting project progress to the Associate Manager.
· Project management and liaison with other disciplines.
· Implement the project requirements and client specifications in accordance with all appropriate standards.
· Implement Company quality procedures in all projects.
· Comply with Health and Safety, Environmental and other appropriate regulations.
· Keep up to date with industry best practice and where appropriate apply best practice within the team environment.
Additional InformationThis role will be based in our Durham office, however, some travelling will be required to other Capita Symonds offices and project sites.
