Our clients' are looking for flexible and adaptable individuals to take on the 2 roles available for Urban Planners, who are seeking a diverse workload and can be based in Surrey.Experience in the following areas would be beneficial to successful candidates:
> Preparation of area based masterplans, development or regeneration frameworks including AAPs and SPDs
> Dealing with the policy and technical issues associated with developing sustainable communities including the development of large scale mixed use developments and urban extensions.
> Preparation of LDF evidence base studies (e.g strategic housing land availability assessments, employment land reviews, open space studies, retail, social and community infrastructure needs)Responsibilities include:
> Taking responsibility for managing smaller projects
> Providing a planning input to projects managed by others
> Identifying and pursuing business opportunities
> Assisting with marketing the planning services including preparing expressions of interest and tender documents The attributes of the postholder should include:
> A degree or post graduate qualification in Town and Country Planning
> Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute
> Relevant post-qualification experience, in a consultancy environment would be beneficial
> Candidates should be highly motivated and able to work both in multidisciplinary teams, or on own initiative If you are interested in this job, contact us today.
