Our clients' are searching for a Senior Planning Consultant to become a key contact for clients and lead them through the development process based in Newcastle.

Duties and Responsibilities for the successful candidate includes:
•Undertaking background searches
•Policy and document reviews
•Submitting planning applications
•Site appraisals
•Plan preparation
•Preparation of proofs of evidence and acting as an expert witness
•Client communication
•Correspondence

Knowledge and Experience Required
•Development control experience essential
•Policy experience desirable
•Project management experience essential
•Experience of working with North East Regional Planning Policies essential
•Regional Spatial Strategy knowledge/understanding

Candidates must also have demonstrable work experience in at least one of the following two areas:
•Consultancy experience, and/or
•Local authority experience

Skills Required
•Good Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc)
•Experience of using AutoCAD would be beneficial, but is not essential

Educational Requirements
•BA Hons in Planning
•Diploma / Masters degree in Town Planning
•Working towards MRTPI would be beneficial
