- Providing technical economic development input to studies
- Providing economic development support on projects led by other professionals across the client's offices
- Supporting project bidding and business development in the regions identified
- Working with existing economic development staff across the UK
- Developing the market and building economic development capacity within the business
- Working on multi-disciplinary regeneration, development, infrastructure projectsKey Responsibilities
The priorities of this role include:
- Helping to develop the company's economic development services support UK growth in this skill set
- Helping to develop the company's economic development reputation
- Supporting the company's economic frameworksJob RequirementsYou should be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge, from experience in consultancy or government in the field of economic development:
- Good technical skills in respect of our core offer (i.e. employment studies, land development studies, economic appraisal, economic impact, regeneration economics and economic advice in support of the wider planning process)
- Familiarity with the local and regional development market
- Ability to communicate clearly, logically, concisely and accurately in writing and to ensure coordination of text with graphics
- Good numeracy and statistical skills, including use of and presentation of key economic dataThe focus is currently on employment land studies, feasibility studies, business plans, economic appraisals, economic impact assessments etc. The current team works closely with their planning and environment colleagues to provide input from an economics perspective.Along with a competitive salary our client also offer commitment to your personal and professional development and an environment that encourages a healthy work life balance with flexible working conditions.With projects across the UK and a view to international expansion of the sector this is an exciting time to get involved!
