My client is a highly prestigious engineering consultancy and has a requirement for an Assistant Geotechnical Engineer to join their high calibre team. They work on a wide range of projects spanning from foundation assessments on single buildings to geotechnical aspects of major projects including the building of various flag-ship projects.
As an Assistant Geotechnical Engineer you will undertake specialist laboratory testing, material characterisation, site assessments, surveys and/or data gathering exercises involving ground stabilisation and/or solidification. You will complete data analysis and write technical reports, including failure investigations. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior staff as appropriate and liaising with operations staff.
Ideally you will have a background working for a contractor working on soil stabilisation and ground investigations looking to take a step into a consultancy environment.
Minimum requirements: You will have a degree in either Civil Engineering, Geotechnics, Geology, Engineering Geology or a related discipline. You will also be a member of a relevant Professional Institution.
