The role will involve being responsible for the management and development of a range of sustainability services from feasibility studies for renewable energy technologies and Code for Sustainable Homes assessments to planning strategy development, competitive bid processes and CPD sessions.

You will need to have a complete understanding of sustainability issues in the development process and be able to recommend practical, achievable, cost effective and innovative solutions to clients, communicating these effectively and persuasively. You will also be expected to line manage junior members of staff, and be able to manage multiple projects effectively and on time and budget. You will have a good knowledge of business processes and budget management, be adaptable and driven to achieve excellent results.


Essential Criteria

- Excellent spoken and written English
- A complete understanding of, and interest in, sustainability issues in the development industry
- A very good head for figures and an understanding of financial business practices
- A full understanding of energy use in buildings, associated regulations and calculation methods
- An ability to convey complex ideas in simple terms to a range of audiences
- An excellent understanding of the Code for Sustainable Homes
- A very good knowledge of renewable energy technologies and how they work
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite competently, and computer literate generally
- Professionalism, determination and a drive to succeed
- An ability to line manage more junior members of staff
- Consultancy experience in a professional environment

Desirable Criteria

- Code for Sustainable Homes qualified assessor status
- Qualified SAP assessor status
- A degree in a relevant discipline
