Our client, a multi-specialist consultancy, requires a Sustainable Energy Engineer to bring engineering, planning and scientific skills and experience together to deliver sustainable development and infrastructure projects. You will potentially be involved in Land Development Projects, Carbon Management Projects and Combined Heat and Power Projects.

As such, your main responsibilities will include:

- Developing energy strategies for land development projects by assessing the energy requirement of land development projects, modelling the alternative energy supply scenarios.
- Recommending renewable or low carbon technologies to meet the client’s expectations for the project within the confines of current and future legislation / codes of practise.
- Providing an assessment of the economic impacts of the recommended energy solution.
- Preparing reports based on detailing analysis and recommendations.
- Developing energy modelling tools and resources for use within the firm

You will therefore ideally meet the following requirements:

- You will have a degree or equivalent in Engineering or a Science engineering discipline
- You will have knowledge of renewable energy technologies and their application
- You will have experience building models for calculating energy loads of economic performance of energy related projects.
- You will be comfortable managing the delivery of components into a larger project.

A post graduate qualification in renewable energy, as well as knowledge of the UK energy sector, the Codes for Sustainable Homes, BREEAM or Micro Generation technologies would be desirable.
