Our client is a leading power engineering consultancy, providing a wide range of energy-related services to both public and private sector clients. They provide advice to decision makers on matters as diverse as long-term energy plans; tariff studies; energy economics; feasibility studies for new projects; regulatory reform; and valuations, mergers and acquisitions.
The ideal successful candidate will be working on a variety of energy projects related to traditional large scale thermal and hydro-electric power plant and new and renewable technology developments in the UK and overseas.
If you are a Energy Planning Engineer or Power Economist who can offer the following:
Track record in finding solutions to complex problems with deadlines
Strong analytical capability and an interest in the electrical supply sector
Proven verbal and written skills
Flexibility required to work in different roles for different clients both locally and worldwide
Ability to organise yourself and others
Requirements
Bachelors degree in either mechanical or electrical engineering ( or equivalent numerical subject ) or economics
Meng ( MIMechE, MIET ) where appropriate
Higher academic qualification (MSc or PhD ) could be an advantage
Fully fluent and able to work ( communicate verbally and in writing ) in English
Hold a UK driving licence
Be flexible to travel both in the UK and overseas
