Our client is looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated planners with a solid academic and employment record to join their specialist housing team in the North East. An expanding client base and workload has opened up and opportunity for a Senior Planner in this exciting and dynamic sector of planning.

You would be working with a wide range of clients including leading housebuilders, developers and local planning authorities. You will work on the preparation of planning applications and appeals, site appraisals, planning strategies and development plan representations and provide advice and guidance to clients at all stages of the planning process. You will also develop mentoring and management experience.

You will:
- Be MRTPI and/or MRICS planning and development qualified
- Be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the planning system
- Have demonstrable and relevant experience
- Be able to demonstrate excellent communication, written and analytical skills
- Be able to manage a demanding workload
- Be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of issues and policy affecting planning for housing.

Development control experience would be useful but is not essential
