Maintaining environmental compliance with legislation and company environmental policy on operation and closed landfill sites with a particular regard to landfill gas managementBusiness Performance
Achieve budgeted profit & safety targets at depot / regional level.Key Tasks
Delivery of projects to ensure maximisation of any potential revenue earning opportunities including existing business and involvement in gas utilisation, whilst ensuring close management of any necessary expenditure in carrying out tasks. Ensuring that environmental compliance is maintained in line with legal, regulatory, health and safety, corporate and landowner obligations.

Lead and develop effective teamsKey Tasks
Work effectively as a team member to provide support to the Head of Gas Control & Utilisation and assist the landfill team in delivering compliance with environmental responsibilities on closed and operational landfill sites. Interface with all areas of Landfill Support along with operational staff. Liaison with internal staff and external bodies including statutory bodies, contractors, equipment manufacturers and consultants. Key Performance Indicators
Environmental compliance and interaction with other functions Focused Customer ServiceKey Tasks
Maintain relationships with internal customers to assist in the delivering of environmental compliance on in-house obligations and support any related business by maintaining external relationships to maximise this revenue, where possible. Key Performance Indicators
Environmental compliance and Eastwood Sales revenue and customer satisfactionImprove Operational KPIs Key Task• Ensure compliance with internal quality procedures and approved methods of work along with legal obligations and those contained with Waste Management Licences, PPC Permits and Health and Safety requirements• To produce landfill gas reviews, assessments and reports for both internal operational and closed landfills with any necessary external client sites.• To audit both closed and operational landfill sites for compliance with the Company’s Environmental Policy, authorisations and statutory obligations• To maintain an up to date knowledge of legislation and guidance relating to landfill with a particular regard to landfill gas.• To liaise with EA and provide technical support internally for operational issues relating to landfill gas to both internal and external personnel.• To provide support and input in other environmental areas, if required• To liaise with external clients and provide external services relating to landfill gas and other areas where necessary.
