My client is a highly prestigous, international consultancy and is keen to recruit a Principal Geotechnical Engineer into one of their South East offices. My clients geotechnical specialists provide a service to other sections of the firm as well as undertaking direct geotechnical commissions for many outside bodies such as government departments, local authorities, financial institutions, other consulting engineers, contracting and commercial organisations, and private individuals. Projects range from a foundation assessment for a single building to the geotechnical aspects of major projects such as new towns, highways, prestigious structures, airports and bridges.

As a Senior or Principal Geotechnical Engineer you will be Chartered and have a BSc (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Geology or Engineering Geology. In addition, you will have significant experience of geotechnical engineering predominantly within a design office; and knowledge of retaining wall, piling and FE/FD programmes. An MSc (or equivalent) in Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or Foundation Engineering; and geotechnical engineering experience for road, rail and infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
