RELOCATION... RELOCATION!.... INTERESTED!Our leading global company is looking to appoint a Senior Health & Safety Manager based on Abu Dhabi .
You will be responsible for the following:• The daily Health & Safety performance of Major Projects and identifies issues that require corrective action.
• Provide direction to the Health & Safety Supervisors in the implementation of the Major Projects Health & Safety plan and corrective actions to improve performance.
• Review and development of the Projects Health & Safety plan.
• Participates with managers/supervisors in departmental planning and program development where appropriate.
• Facilitate development of Health and Safety orientation/training programs for manual and non-manual personnel.
• Oversee the auditing of Health and Safety practices across the projects; the documentation of findings; the determination of corrective actions; and the monitoring of implementation plans for corrective actions.
• Represent the Health & Safety department in senior meetings with clients, contractors, and department managers to advise them of developing Health & Safety issues which will affect their operations.
• Work with Legal and Risk Management representatives on pending legal actions and insurance claims arising from Health and Safety. Ensures that required documentation is provided, and testifies at legal proceedings when required.
• Participates in Health and Safety personnel recruitment, training, and development.
• Conducts employee performance evaluations and reviews performance evaluations administered by Health and Safety supervisors. Recommends salary actions, promotions, transfers, and terminations. Interviews prospective Safety and health employees at exempt and non-exempt levels and makes recommendations to the ES&H Services Manager regarding their qualifications for employment. Techinical Skills Required
NEBOSH Diploma and CMIOSH
S&H standards ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001
S&H auditing Received Training/Field Experienced in Auditing,
Audit report writing
IT Literate
Worked with multi-national workforce Min of 2+ years experience
