Flooding Control Engineer

My client, a large national employer concerned with protecting and improving the environment in England and Wales are currently seeking a number of Flooding Control Engineers to join their teams in Leeds and York.

This position will involve:

• Working closely with internal customers, Local Authorities, developers and private landowners.
• Dealing with flood risk assessments, land drainage, development and planning.
• Resolving conflicts.
• Liaison with Flood Risk Management engineers and other teams coupled with the opportunity to be involved in emergency response.

Suitable candidates will have relevant construction or river-based experience supported by an HNC/D or a degree in an appropriate engineering based discipline. An understanding of hydrology and hydraulics, flood defence and regulatory matters, a broad understanding of Town and Country planning principals would also be beneficial-these qualifications will enable you to take advantage of this opportunity to join this blue chip employer who offer exceptional salary and benefits package.
