Our Client is an international practice of multidisciplinary consulting engineers with a worldwide reputation for sustainability, innovation and quality.

They have recently established a new team focused on developing Energy / Utilities strategies, at a Masterplanning level, for Utility supply to Regions / Cities / Towns / Major Developments. They form an important link between the masterplanning and design teams, the client and planning authorities. With a broad understanding of engineering design and planning policy and regulatory requirements, this team is uniquely placed to help guide the masterplanning and design development process to ensure that environmental issues are resolved appropriately at the right stage.

This position requires:

• Leadership of projects concurrent to directing the core elements of each utility group (Electricity, Water, Gas, Telecommunications, District Heating / Cooling, and Drainage) with the support of the individual utility engineers within the team and throughout the Practice:

Leading a multidiscipline team to execute the project deliverables including resource management and enablement of different disciplines as required by the project/s.

• Ensuring the benchmarking and demand forecasting for the energy and utility disciplines are robust, competent and practically inform the project drivers.

• Engaging the sustainable, renewable, carbon mitigation and alternative technologies and disciplines as required by the project.

• Ensuring that the energy and utility networks are co-ordinated between the practical sustainability drivers of the project and the adoptable standards of the regional / state network standards.

• Liaison with Masterplanners to ensure the successful implementation of energy and utility strategies for Planning Applications and EIA studies.
•
Co-ordination with the Civil and Infrastructure disciplines including structures, bridges and highways to ensure the successful implementation of energy and utility routing strategies.
