Opportunity for a Sustainability Engineer to work on a diverse range of prestigious projects with an international consultancy, leading projects and mentoring the more junior members of staff.
Working out of a multi-disciplinary office that provides services in Structures, Building Services, Water, Highways, Transportation, Project Management and Strategic Consultancy, you will provide sustainability expertise to the building services team. Using advanced 3D modelling techniques you will carry out analysis of buildings, and evaluate the sustainability of design choices using recognised rating systems such as BREEAM. Taking into account regulations such as Part ‘L’ building regulations compliance, you’ll have the opportunity to provide advice to major property clients, leading architects, and project teams on sustainable building design. You will carry out energy studies, environmental performance assessments and strategic sustainability appraisals and be able to develop concepts and strategies to enhance sustainability, translating these into workable designs and specifications. As a result your have the chance to implement renewable and low carbon energy technologies including micro-macro wind turbine, Biomass fuels, Ground heat source, solar energy solutions and CHP. Applicants will therefore be welcomed from BREEAM/LEED accredited, degree qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineers with extensive competencies in the energy in buildings arena.
