Principal Investment Manager

Salary: 250k-350k United States Dollars ( £128k-£179k )

Principal level Investment expert is required to be part of a young, dynamic and successful investment management company focusing on clean energy projects in the following areas: renewable energy, energy efficiency, emissions reduction and recycling and waste management.The investment manager is focused on project development of and investment in early stage clean energy, energy efficiency, and recycling/waste management businesses in the Asia Pacific region. The team currently consists of 4 senior principals with private equity and industry experience in both traditional energy and clean energy. The firm is seeking an additional principal with relevant experience in emerging markets (preferably Asia Pacific region in countries such as Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, China, Australia, etc) who can oversee sourcing, acquisition, asset management, disposition of investments as well as participate in fundraising and investor relations functions. Responsibilities:
- Leadership role in the sourcing, acquisition, asset management, and disposition of early stage clean technology investments.
- Sourcing of proven clean technologies from North America and Europe for technology transfer to Asia Pacific investments.
- Actively participating in the firm's fundraising and investor relations functions
- Training of other more junior team members.Requirements:
- High level of investment skills and demonstrated track record in structuring and exiting from equity transactions (preferably early stage).
- Significant relevant experience for Principal level within private equity and clean energy/energy investment/development business.
- Solid familiarity of Asian markets, preferably South, Southeast Asia, Oceania.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, strong self-motivation, team player with experience in working in small teams with early stage ventures.
- Leadership role in the sourcing, acquisition, asset management, and disposition of early stage clean technology investments.
