Our clients business is making markets work; a leading provider of services to regulated utility markets in the UK and Europe. Our client is looking for an experienced Economist, with specific expertise in the area of regulatory economics, to further grow our successful team.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess;
• Good post graduate degree (2.1+) in Economics or a related discipline
• Intermediate (3 years) to advanced (5+ years) experience in ANY utilities or regulatory sector, including significant experience as an industry economist
• A broad understanding of the regime for economic regulation of asset intensive industries
• Excellent knowledge of utilities industry operators and regulatory authorities
• Broad knowledge of economic issues relating to UK utilities industries, and wider European and International markets
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Competition Act

In addition, you will also be able to demonstrate the following;
• The ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational, and time-management skills
• Excellent business and industry acumen
