Although this role sits within the urban design team, which is part of the Environment division, it will be a wide-ranging role with all other divisions likely to use graphic design services.

This would include planners, engineers, environmental scientists, project managers and quantity surveyors as well as specialists in such areas as transport, power, communications, education and health. Support and guidance will also be available from the graphic designers within their Business Development Services team in London.

Successful candidates will have experience of working in the field either in a similar multi-disciplinary organisation or design studio doing design for business; a graphic design degree (or ME equivalent); be fluent in spoken and written English; be an expert in CS3 (the main graphics package of Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) on PC - as well as PowerPoint, Acrobat and Word; have experience of buying high quality print; used to working within corporate guidelines with a keen eye for detail; can work fast, consistently and accurately to tight deadlines; must be confident and enthusiastic in their ideas; and be passionate about graphics.

Patience and resilience for living in a foreign country and dealing with other professionals from different cultural backgrounds is a key requirement as is the flexibility to work on a diverse range of graphic design tasks/materials as the business grows.
