SHEQ Assistant
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £22k-£25k

Our client requires a SHEQ Assistant to support the development, deployment and use of management systems to meet business needs and risks in order to assure compliance and continually improve performance.

The job holder may:
• Plan, undertake and report on the management activities and processes with HOD’s and departmental teams
• Make recommendations for improvements to the controls deployed by departments
• Contact any member of staff as part of programmed audits, inspection and reviews
• Support, coach and provide technical advice to aid the development of suitable controls and procedures
• Recommend training to achieve appropriate competency in the application of management systems and tools
• Liaise with other departments including Internal Audit to plan and carry out audits inspections and reviews
• Escalate issues of concern and seek support to stop work where significant uncontrolled risks are encountered
• Produce accurate, appropriate and timely reports for various audiences to meet business needs
• Liaise with external agencies, organisations, including certifiers and contractors etc and review policies, programmes of work etc to ensure risks to people, property and the environment are controlled

You should possess an understanding and awareness of value and use of management systems and relevant standards as well as a relevant degree or equivalent industrial/commercial qualification. .

You will be required to travel so a full clean driving licence is needed.
