Senior Consultant/Associate

Our client is looking for Senior Consultant / Associate Environmental & sustainability specialists based in their London office. They are a small multi-disciplinary consultancy providing innovative approaches to environmental, social and sustainability practice and research with specialism’s including:
• assessment and appraisal;
• spatial planning and management;
• participation, consultation and social research;
• environmental policy and decision-making;
• training and capacity building.Our clients practice is expanding and they are seeking two exceptional candidates who share their approach and vision and want to help shape the future of the company.Candidates should have a strong consultancy and/or research track record in one or more of the following: Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA), Sustainability Appraisal, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Social Impact Assessment, town and country planning, social research, environmental policy analysis, flood risk / water management, and climate change adaptation.Candidates will need demonstrable enthusiasm for the work they undertake and appropriate academic qualifications. Excellent project management and communication skills, both written and verbal, will be a prerequisite. A proven ability to adapt to new challenges, along with an appreciation of the particular demands of working in a small consultancy are also essential.They work closely with many public sector bodies and European institutions, such as the Environment Agency, DEFRA, DCLG, EEA and local authorities, as well as the private sector. Experience of working with public sector bodies will be a strong advantage.
