One of the UK's leading Energy suppliers are looking for a strong, skilled and motivated individual to co-ordinate and manage a innovative Carbon Capture Storage (CCS)Project.
You will be required to manage the engineering and technical delivery of the CCS project, including work planning, technical design and interfaces, engineering risk management and procurement strategy.
You will lead a mixed team of staff and contractors to deliver the engineering and technical aspect of the CCS demonstration project and act as the internal customer for technical aspects of CO2 transport and storage agreements. You must be able to assess technical options for analysis, and monitor and drive that analysis forward effectively.
You will also provide support and information to the Clean Coal Business Development Manager and Team, and assist in the input for the bid to Government, regulation and relevant consents which will ensure progress in line with the project development objectives.
Please apply if you hold a relevant degree in engineering and or a business./management qualification and have a strong technical background in relevant engineering (for example power, process or chemical plants, or the oil and gas industry). You must be able to demonstrate good project management experience in engineering (e.g. power, petrochemicals), experience of the procurement process and working with contractors.
As a manager you should have the ability to embrace challenges and opportunities to optimize decisions by evaluating situations from different points of view, leverages and cultural differences. You will have strong stakeholder management, networking and communication skills The ability to manage performance and motivate individuals and a team is crucial as is credibility at a senior management level to win over support for all proposals. You will carry the confidence and expertise to challenge established practices and lead changes. You will identify and analyse situations by isolating key issues, evaluating relevant data and drawing appropriate conclusions
