A leading international Sustainability Consultancy has an immediate need for an experienced CSR consultant. The company specializes in helping private businesses understand and respond constructively to the challenges of sustainable development by highlighting corporate responsibility.

The vacancy exists in their US office in Washington and is for a manager to take charge of the Food & Beverage and the Healthcare sectors. The main priority will be to support the marketing, development and delivery of client work with a view to convincing companies themselves to make substantive and long-lasting commitments to becoming more sustainable enterprises and also influencing underlying drivers promoting more sustainable business behavior (e.g. customer pressure, NGO campaigns, government action).

The successful candidate will be asked to participate in a wide range of activities, including managing delivery to key clients and research programs in the Food & Beverage and Healthcare sectors, business development and team co-ordination.

Applicants should have an excellent understanding of business and sustainable development, with particular focus on the Food & Beverage and Healthcare sectors. An advanced degree preferably in business, corporate responsibility, environmental studies, policy studies or economics is essential, as is a proven track record of business development and maintaining client relationships.
