Emissions Trading Specialist
Our client is a leading company in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency and climate change. They are a European Top 500 growth company with the mission to ensure 'a sustainable energy supply for everyone' providing consultancy services to clients in the public sector as well as the private sector. They're currently looking for an Emissions Trading Specialist in any of their fast-growing international offices with regular travelling required.
The successful candidate has the professional and personal capacities to contribute to the strengthening and further expansion of their emission trading activities. Your profile:You combine 5 years of experience in analyses of market-based instruments, including emissions trading and emission reduction potentials in the power sector and industry with a commercial attitude. You will be responsible for developing and marketing new ETS-related activities and services, maintaining and establishing new client relationships and supporting colleagues in the various offices in this regard. You will also manage large ETS projects and provide specialist knowledge to colleagues and clients. Together with project managers and national workfield managers you will be responsible for upholding our client's high quality standards and ensuring consistency across countries and related topics. You will represent our client in national and international environments and identify opportunities for profiling the business.Scientific academic background (in engineering, natural sciences or economics);
At least 5 years of proven experience in climate change in general and 2-3 years in emissions trading in particular;
Strong project management skills;
Willingness to travel;
Experience with advising on policy/strategy, especially in politically sensitive arenas;
Experience in a commercial environment, including acquiring new funding;
Strong analytical skills, solution-oriented approach;
Capacity for lateral thinking;
Ability to work in different cultures;
Comfortable working in a highly dynamic organisation;
Excellent (verbal and written) communication and presentation skills in English;
Additional languages are an advantage.
