Senior (Lead) Urban Designer (1/2 posts)

Location: Hong Kong/Beijing/Brisbane/Sydney (all possible)

The client is looking for candidates with experience in community planning; residential, office and industrial park, mixed use and commercial site development planning and design; educational and recreational facilities design. Skills include project management, site analysis, feasibility studies, due diligence, free hand and computer graphics.

The candidate will oversee and manage all phases of urban planning/design, landscape, and building design projects, including initial project scoping and feasibility, preliminary and final design, construction document preparation, bidding, procurement, and construction of multiple concurrent projects;

The candidate will ensure adherence to approved project budgets and schedules, using both in-house and third party consultants and contractors. They will serve as the assigned Trust representative for projects and work with organizations throughout the local design institutes. They will subcontract design firms and governmental functional departments, such as Planning, Preservation, Programs departments (Conservation, Research, Archaeology, Historic Preservation, Transportation) to achieve high-quality projects. This position provides project leadership to in-house design staff and outside consultant contractors involved during all phases of projects.

Candidates must be articulate, self -motivated and strong in leadership. They must also be willing to travel to other PR China and Australian cities

Junior Urban Designer (3 posts)

Location: Hong Kong/Beijing

Candidates should have excellent hand-drawn and computer aided graphical skills. They should have experience of working within the public or private sector in a Junior Urban Design position in either Australia, Hong Kong or in China and must have some Urban Design project experience.

The role will be to support the Senior members of the team, however the client is very keen for candidates to have the drive and determination to progress through the company.

(Chinese language is not a must foreign designers)

Town Planners - Sydney/Brisbane/Auckland (3 posts)

Required with Australian/NZ experience to work on multi-disciplinary projects. Some understanding of Environmental Impact Assessments gained overseas would be particularly of benefit. The three roles available form part of a larger division which includes Landscape Architecture, Masterplanning, Transport Planning and Economic Development/Regeneration. Candidate who can demonstrate a wide understanding of Town Planning Statutory Policies or Strategic Planning techniques in Australia/NZ will be of significant benefit.
