Landscape Architect

Our client is looking for a Landscape Architect to work in their offices throughout Australasia.

The main duties of a Landscape Architect are to competently and efficiently assist in the completion of designs for urban development and landscape architecture and complete contract administration for projects as allocated by the Senior or Principal Consultant.

Required skills include effective communication skills both written and verbal, urban sketching ability, graphic design ability and application of software. Some understanding and demonstrated project management and negotiations skills required.

Understanding of key Quality, Environmental and Safety issues relating to the tasks and activities of this position.
Scope of Work
Drafting work across the unit and 末assess workload requirements on your allocated projects
Preparation of documentation for design 末and tendering or construction purposes
Assist in the operation of the office by 末following policy and directions and completing tasks as directed by your Line Manager or a Principal Consultant
Supervision of landscape works 末and contract administration for your allocated projects
Site analysis work for your projects末
The completion of sketching and 末shading of projects as required
Ensure all tasks and activities are 末conducted within the requirements of the Coomes Quality, Environmental and Safety policies and procedures as detailed in the Coomes management system.
Education and Experience
Achievement of an undergraduate 末degree in Landscape Architecture or Planning and Design and/or a Masters Qualification in Landscape Architecture
Experience as a Landscape Architect in either public/govt enterprise or private consultancy.
Technical Competence in the use of software 末applications including, Word, PowerPoint, Indesign and AutoCAD
Developing knowledge and understanding 末of urban systems, communities, horticultural issues including plant identification
Developing design skills for landscape 末settings and conceptual design.
