Our client is searching for a Senior Consultant in Urban Design to workThe main duties of this position will comprise the development and management of concepts and designs for urban development projects, allocation of production work, review of project progress, client liaison and project completion and documentation.
The continued development of urban design work for new and existing clients is crucial to the success of this position. You will be required to/or assist with:>Contribute to the growth of the business unit through the marketing and winning of urban design work from both established clients and in new areas of work.>Participate concurrently in the marketing and development of landscape architecture skills
Develop personal skills in urban design and landscape architecture.>Development of urban design concepts and detailed designs where appropriate
>Development of the skills and knowledge base of the Landscape Architecture and Urban Design team
>Attendance at meetings and briefings with clients, communication with agencies, other consultants, communities, authorities and clients as required
>Preparation and review of documentation for design, tendering or construction purposes
>Management of the urban design team to produce and deliver outputs on time and within budget
>Supervision of urban design works and contract administration as required
>Development of strong client relationships through active marketing, entertainment, workshops or presentation opportunities
>Promotion and development of the company through the delivery of innovative, contemporary urban design.Qualifications and ExperienceMasters degree in Landscape Architecture/Urban Design (or equivalent) combined with some team leadership experience and specialist technical experience. Study toward post-graduate management or business degree desirable.TechnicalWell developed knowledge and experience of urban systems and the design of communities
An understanding of flora, fauna, arboricultural and cultural landscape qualities
Conversant with Microsoft software
An understanding of Autocad
Understanding of relevant land development legislation and plans of subdivision
Advanced presentation skillsSkillsManagement
