Our client, a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy, requires a Sustainability Consultant to further support their diverse, growing business.
Based in the North East division, you will assist in the management and development of a range of sustainability services, from feasibility studies for renewable energy technologies, Code for Sustainable Homes assessments and BREEAM assessments to planning strategy development, competitive bid processes and CPD sessions.
As such, your main responsibilities will include:
· Developing sustainable engineering, design and strategy services
· Mentoring engineers on Building Regulations, BREEAM and other sustainable standards
· Implementing renewable and low carbon energy technologies including micro-macro wind turbine, Biomass fuels, Ground heat source, solar energy solutions and CHP
· Developing and maintaining relationships with clients (both private and public sector) and other external stakeholders.
You will have a good multidisciplinary knowledge of your field and be able to positively advise other disciplines regarding aspects of their design as it impacts sustainability issues. You will also ideally be a degree qualified Engineer or Scientist and a registered BREEAM assessor with previous business development experience within a multi-disciplinary design consultancy.
