Our client is looking for a Principal Ecologist for their West London office. You will be reporting to another Principal Ecologist and help spearhead a wide range of projects on behalf of the companies clients. Whether it’s a habitat and protected species survey or an ecological impact assessment, you’ll play a pivotal role in making sure each project is properly planned and intelligently led. It’s a challenge that’ll see you supervising others and managing the day-to-day delivery of their work. You’ll also be expected to manage budgets and prepare fee estimates.

You will be a confident and capable individual, you’ll be a fully registered Ecologist (IEEM) with a strong professional record. You’ll hold an EPS licence for at least one protected species and will have a sound knowledge of UK and European nature conservation legislation. More generally, you’ll have led teams with real success before, so will have the skills needed to motivate those around you. A full driving licence is essential.

Clients include national governments and international agencies, as well as local authorities and communities. The company pride themselves on developing sustainable client relationships and take encouragement from the high number of repeat commissions they receive.
